Memory Plus Pillow

The Memory Plus Pillow For Extra Support & Comfort

Starting with a base of foam that is supportive with contouring to help shape the neck and restore the normal curve, the memory plus pillow then adds a layer of high quality memory foam as a topper to provide a measure of comfort and warming.

After an injury begins to heal, you may notice that a standard memory foam pillow, while comfortable, is not providing the level of cervical support you need for the next stage of correction. While there are various solutions to this, many standard foam based pillows will have an adaptation period in order to transition to a more supporting pillow in order to provide a deeper supporting mechanism as the goal becomes to restore the natural curve of the neck.

The memory plus pillow helps avoid this break in period and assists with transitioning to a firmer support, while maintaining the comfort of memory foam. The therapeutic base provides a cooler and more supportive pillow, emphasizing the contours that are so beneficial for restoration. The memory foam addition offers the benefit of progressing to this more beneficial stage in recovery, without the sudden impact of a different type of foam pillow.

The pillow also provides solutions for those who like the comforting of memory foam, yet do not find it offers the level of firmness for their condition. It also produces a pillow that is lighter and easier to handle than a memory foam pillow, which can be heavy, depending on the density.

This does not mean the pillow is firm, it is a medium density feel and the therapeutic foam will give, rather than being resistive, however; it is firmer than traditional memory foam. While in the acute stage of an injury or condition, a softer pillow can help ease inflammation while healing takes place. After the initial acute stage, the neck may require further support, and this usually occurs around 6 – 8 weeks, where the muscles and ligaments can benefit from increasing support. This is also when the cervical spine needs more support in the correct posture to help mold the natural curve, which assists in alleviating pressure from pinched nerves and headaches.
