Posture Pillow

The Posture Pillow Can Improve Posture While Relaxing Or Exercising

The posture pillow is a specially designed cushion that stretches the chest region, relaxes upper back muscles and improves overall posture of the head, neck, and upper body.

It allows gravitational forces to bring your head and shoulders into a healthy and normal posture. This allows comfortable and balanced motions to improve function helping to relieve neck, shoulder and upper back aches and pains.

Shown here without the washable cover which is included, the pillow uses gravity to reverse the effects of poor head, neck and upper back posture. The image below shows the unique contours and scientific design.

Posture Pillow Details

  1. The head rest stabilizes the head.
  2. The neck support allows for a natural curve.
  3. The center area gently stretches the upper back, stimulating postural muscles.
  4. The shoulder slope stretches the chest muscles while upper back muscles relax.
  5. Provides a smooth transition for lower back.

During the day, an average person bends their neck and back forward between 1,500 and 4,000 times while bending back their neck and back by less than half of that. This creates an imbalance which, over time, can cause poor neck posture and a rounded upper back, leading to asymmetrical (off-centered) joint positions and muscles.

Poor neck and upper back posture can be corrected in mild to moderate cases and helped in more pronounced cases with correct positioning and training using the Posture Neck Pillow to restore balance.

Using the Posture Neck PillowMany of the common aches and pains above the chest are related to poor posture including: stiffness, aches and pains of the neck and shoulders, headaches, discomfort in front of shoulders and pain in ribs or back.

After being hunched over a computer all day, on an assembly line or just slouched on the couch, place the pillow on your bed, couch, or floor and just relax, or for further benefit, use an exercise regimen.

Use the pillow between 5 and 20 minutes at least once daily depending apon your physical condition and desired effect.

When lying on the floor, bend knees or place a pillow under the knees so the lower back rests comfortably against floor. Place arms out in a 30 to 45 degree angle from body with palms facing up for a proper stretch or place hands on stomach. Use up to 20 minutes. Over-stretching can occur if overused.

Stretches front upper body while shortening the upper back to stimulates the spinal postural muscles, increases circulation and opens up the chest region to increase breathing, alleviates upper back, lower back, shoulder and neck muscle tension, improves posture by aligning head, neck and upper body in the correct position – reverses slouching for improving self confidence.

Depending upon your condition, placement of the head and neck in a normal postural position may be too extreme for those with a high degree of poor neck and back posture. If you are an elderly person, or someone who has a serious medical condition, please consult a medical or chiropractic health care provider before using the posture neck pillow.

If the pillow is too uncomfortable, fold a towel and place in the headrest. This will add more comfort.

Consult a health care specialist to see if it is right for you and before starting any exercise program, consult a health care provider as some exercises may be dangerous, especially if diagnosed with Osteoporosis or other medical conditions.

The new design eliminates use of the towel with a foam insert
If you have neck pain using the posture neck pillow, fold a towel and place in headpiece.
As the body adjusts to proper alignment you can remove the towel.

The pillow is not for sleeping which may cause overstretching of the chest and neck muscles! Some people feel a stretch the first use while others will take a few days – everybody is different. Use the pillow before going to bed, after waking up or anytime during the day. Do not use in a chair or driving.

  1. Can I sleep on the pillow?
Sleeping on the pillow is not advisable. Sleeping may cause overstretching of the chest and neck muscles!
  2. What if my chin points up while using the pillow?
Tuck the chin in or fold a towel up and place in head rest until body becomes adjusted. Using a folded up towel will add more comfort, but won’t be as effective. As the body adjusts, the folded towel will not be needed.
  3. How do I know if it is working?
Some people feel a stretch right away while others will take a few days. Everybody is different, but the pillow will stretch the chest region and relax the head.
  4. What if I am a side sleeper, can I still use it?
Yes, it was designed to be used between 5 and 20 minutes. You can use the Posture Neck Pillow before going to bed, after waking up or anytime during the day.
  5. Can I use it in the car or while sitting?
It was designed to be used while lying on the back using gravity. Using in a chair or driving is not recommended as the pillow will fall when leaning forward. Use the headrest in your car. It will help bring your head back to better alignment and will ease the back and neck tension.
  6. What if my neck hurts while using the pillow?
If your neck hurts, fold a towel up and place in the headpiece. As your body adjusts to being properly aligned, the folded towel will not be needed. If pain continues, discontinue use and consult a medical specialist.
  7. Are there different sizes for different people?
No, the pillow was designed as a one size fits all cushion. Although, some people may need to fold a towel and place in the headpiece to ease discomfort and for better alignment of the head. As your body starts to adjust, the folded towel will not be needed.
  8. If I have a major medical condition, can I still use the Posture Neck Pillow?
Consult your medical specialist before use or any exercise program.
