The Tempurpedic mattress material delivers solutions

In a sleep study conducted independently by Sleep Wellness Center at St. Joseph Healthcare 2003; NTL Associates Published 2005, and by German Institute for Care Aid Research and Treatment 2003. Contact...“results showed pressure reduction on a Tempurpedic was 4 times that of a conventional foam mattress.”

The Tempurpedic mattress material actually reacts to body weight and temperature to conform precisely to the exact shape of the body contour providing perfect musculoskeletal support!

By reacting to a specific range of temperatures the material becomes softer where there is more body contact and stays firmer with less body contact—supporting the body in perfect alignment. The muscles relax...blood flows more freely, delivering more oxygen...deeper REM sleep is reached which restores and rejuvenates the body.

Clinical studies have shown that Tempurpedic mattress material is so effective at promoting sounder sleep that tossing and turning during an average night can be drastically reduced. No wonder more than 9 out of every 10 enthusiastic Tempurpedic Foam Matttress owners go out of their way to recommend our bed to close friends and relatives!

The Tempurpedic mattress material, is a high density, viscoelastic material unlike anything you have ever felt before. We believe that our products are the finest example of how this type of material can be used to promote better comfort, help relieve pain, and help improve sleep. The proven durability of Tempurpedic allows for a onesided mattress design, eliminating the need to flip or rotate the mattress.

The Tempurpedic cells conform PRECISELY to body contours, relieving pressure by evenly distributing body weight over the entire surface area.

  • The viscoelastic characteristic of Tempurpedic material allows it to return to its original shape after being forced to change under the pressure exerted by your body.
  • As the material conforms precisely to the body—it is supported in an anatomically correct position...the head, neck and spine in perfect alignment.
  • Every mattress, pillow, cushion and professional product available from Tempurpedic Medical, Inc. is made of this same breakthrough material — Tempurpedic material.
  • Tempurpedic is the only mattress AND pillow recommended by over 25,000 medical professionals worldwide!

91% of our satisfied owners who suffer from back pain report that Tempurpedic has helped relieve their chronic pain. 94% say our mattress helps relieve painful pressure points.

VISCOELASTIC

VISCO—resistant to change of shape, ELASTIC—able to return to its original shape. Viscoelastic Tempurpedic material senses your body temperature and weight then conforms to your exact body dimensions. Pressure is absorbed and evenly distributed throughout the entire surface. Once the source of pressure (your body) is removed, the material “flows” back to its original shape.

DENSITY

Higher density results in greater durability, increased support, and enhanced sensitivity. Features and benefits of viscoelastic materials are proportionally enhanced as density is increased or decreased. Our extensive research has led us to choose the density of 5.34 lb/ft3 as the ideal density for a sleep surface.

OPEN-CELL

Tempurpedic mattress material is a viscoelastic, “open cell,” polyurethane. It is NOT latex. The open cell structure is breathable and promotes air flow. Air, water, and gel systems are all “closed” systems that displace pressure instead of absorbing and relieving it. Air is pushed out of the Tempurpedic mattress cells then pressure is applied. When the pressure is removed, the cells automatically “reinflate” to return to their original shape. This breathable structure also promotes the dissipation of heat to keep you cool and comfortable.

Therapeutic benefits and features of Tempurpedic mattress material

Temperature & Weight Sensitive

Creates a customized “fit” for each person by automatically adjusting itself for perfect THERAPEUTIC support

  • Reacts to body temperature and weight to conform for an exact fit
  • Becomes softer where the body is exerting the most heat and pressure

Pressure Management & Reduction

Relieves painful pressure points, reduces tossing and turning and increases circulation

  • Absorbs and redistributes pressure (body weight) across the entire surface area

Body Conforming & Supportive

Neck and spine are supported in the correct anatomical position

  • Billions of self ventilating, open cells conform exactly to each unique body shape

Energy Absorbing

Undisturbed deeper sleep for both partners

  • Virtually no motion transfer between sleep partners—energy and movement are perfectly absorbed

Allergen Resistant

Patients avoid inhaling allergens as they sleep

  • Resistant to bacteria, fungi and other living organisms
  • CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) and formaldehyde free
  • Treated covers are allergen resistant

Maintenance Free

Never needs to be turned, flipped or rotated

  • One-sided design and proven durability
