During the day, an average person bends their neck and back forward between 1,500 and 4,000 times while bending back their neck and back by less than half of that. This creates an imbalance which, over time, can cause poor neck posture and a rounded upper back, leading to asymmetrical (off-centered) joint positions and muscles. Poor neck and upper back posture can be corrected in mild to moderate cases and helped in more pronounced cases with correct positioning and training using the Posture Neck Pillow to restore balance.
After being hunched over a computer all day, on an assembly line or just slouched on the couch, place the Posture Neck Pillow on your bed, couch, or floor and just relax, or for further benefit, use an exercise regimen. Use the posture neck pillow between 5 and 20 minutes at least once daily depending apon your physical condition and desired effect. When lying on the floor, bend knees or place a pillow under the knees so the lower back rests comfortably against floor. Place arms out in a 30 to 45 degree angle from body with palms facing up for a proper stretch or place hands on stomach. Use up to 20 minutes. Over-stretching can occur if overused.
