I have been using this pillow for over a year through it's development and have found it to be superior to any pillow I have used for my neck pain condition. For acute neck pain conditions, I find this pillow to be outstanding. If you have suffered a whiplash injury or sprain and strain type injury, this pillow is contoured with a soft memory foam that has just the right density and compression for a good night sleep. Additionally, conditions like advanced degenerative disc disease, which I suffer from, can benefit from this pillow. It is supportive enough without being too firm and I also recommend it for temporomandibular joint problems (tmj) due to it's softer quality. Additionally, there is no "break in" period and the pillow reduces adaptation time noted in many foam and fiber pillows.
If you like a firm pillow, this is not for you. I have found that as my condition progresses, more relief is obtained with a softer pillow. The problem with most softer pillows is that there is not enough support resulting in a pillow that is too soft and one that loses it's support and therapeutic benefit. From the outside, it looks like a typical contour pillow, however, the inside reveals a mild support system and wonderfully soft foam that is very comfortable. The contours are larger than most, however the compression, along with the contour and middle support, allows a position that is "just right". The PostureMed Pillow uses a softer memory foam that is more breathable than most memory foam pillows. The shape and size is great. When I travel, this is the pillow I take. I find less morning stiffness and headaches than with a more firm memory foam pillow or some of the fiber pillows.  The pillow comes with a cover that is very soft and soothing using 80% cotton and is zippered for easy removal when cleaning. It is so comfortable, I do not use a cover over it - although you can if you like. Fortunately, replacement covers are available. Both the pillow and the cover a washable. The cover can be removed, washed in warm water and tumbled dry. The pillow can be washed by hand in luke warm water using a mild, low suds detergent. Rinse thoroughly gently squeezing pillow. Dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight and heat. The PostureMed Memory Foam Contour Pillow is much less reactive to temperature than typical memory foam pillows. You may note that with many memory foam pillows, especially higher density and lower compression pillows like TempurPedic, they can be much harder when the temperature is cooler. This is promoted as being "temperature sensitive" and beneficial, however, lying on a hard pillow and waiting for it to soften from body temperature is not advantageous. Some memory foam pillows may even break under pressure when cold and hard!

Order 2 Posture Med Pillows and Save! The PostureMed Pillow has a very comfortable and plush cover. We have noticed it is difficult to replace most pillow covers. To solve this problem, additional covers are readily available. If you are like me, I enjoy sleeping on the original pillow cover as it adds to the comfort level. The cover is washable, however, many covers do not fit properly after washing causing the zipper to break upon re-covering. In any event, new pillow covers are available here.
