The Ortho Neck Traction is a simple, yet effective device for neck pain relief

Designed to be a specific method to correct poor neck posture, the ortho neck traction can help restore a normal function and relieve neck pain fast and easy.

The Orthopedic Neck Traction looks simple, but it is a powerful device for home use. When I am in a great deal of pain, this is what I use. Although it allows for progressive care with two functional angles that can deliver more or less traction as needed, I use this for emergency pain relief on myself. At times, I find my neck degeneration to produce a flare up with high levels of pain and severe headache. The ortho neck traction provides relief above most products. Not to be taken lightly, this is a serious device and should be used with caution.

It has a traditional wedge design which can achieve specific placement with maximum neck traction effects. The device is made from a hard plastic and is not very comfortable, so I recommend you start by folding a towel over it before lying down on it. While the treatment is somewhat uncomfortable due to the lack of cushioning against the neck, it is one of the most effective, therefore, I use it for certain circumstances only. This is not to say you shouldn't use it on a regular basis - that is what it's designed for, however, if you are looking for a comfortable traction, use another product. If you have poor neck posture with arthritis and get flare ups with headaches and neck pain together, this could be the solution to getting through the rough times.

Unlike other home neck traction devices that can be expensive and cumbersome to use, the Ortho Neck Traction is a Neck Orthotic providing an affordable and easy solution to many current neck pain relief products. It is lightweight with easy adjustability and a simple design and a great alternative for an intensive home and travel neck care.

The Ortho Neck Traction has a strong design focusing on durability as it holds up through continued use and easily handles the rigors of travel.

This type of neck traction involves some level of discomfort and the effects can be noticed as the body will first react. This reaction for most people can be mild since the ortho neck traction uses only the weight of the head acted upon by gravity with a specific contact point to achieve the traction. To help counteract any level of discomfort, I suggest using a folded towel as mentioned previous.

While the ortho neck traction is not the most comfortable, it can be one of the most effective. There are no pumps or bulky equipment. Begin using the long end (providing head support) facing back and progress by gradually removing the towel or reducing the number of folds and then progress to using the short side facing back to increase the effect.

The ortho neck traction is an affordable and very effective method to relieve neck pain at home and you may see great results after one use. Just keep in mind that, while this device can reduce the time spent using traction, there are some precautions regarding comfort that should be taken seriously. That being said, I would not part with mine and take it wherever I go. Just take it slowly until you are accustomed to it's use and you may find the ortho neck traction to be an indespensible tool for neck pain relief.

Lay on the floor face up with knees bent.
Place the Ortho Neck Traction under the neck as low as possible without contacting the large "bump" you feel at the base of your neck.
For posture correction and rehab use daily - evening is best - for approximately 30 days with the longer angle that supports the head (less traction) facing backward.
Start out with 1-2 minutes a session or to your tolerance.
Add 1-2 minutes a day or to tolerance up to 15 minutes per session.
For additional traction turn the Orthopedic Neck Traction around
(shorter andgle facing backward) for maximum traction without head support.
Traction should continue either daily or every other day.
Understand that correcting poor posture is a process of rehab - not a single event.

We now offer a Soft Ortho Neck Traction that can be used for those who find the standard to be too intense. The softer version uses closed-cell foam technology and will provide pressure over a broader area, which may be more appropriate for more mature people or anyone who finds the original too intense to use. Keep in mind that more progress will be made with higher pressure ortho neck traction. I do not recommend the soft device for those who can sustain the traction of the standard ortho neck traction.

We offer a special on both ortho neck traction devices purchased together. This allows a smooth progression from milder traction (soft) to more intense traction (standard). Additionally, you can choose the device that is appropriate for your particular condition. If you have a flare-up and are particularly sensitive that day, you can switch to the softer traction device until it subsides, then continue with standard traction.

Keep in mind that this is effective traction that works. You must realize that for progress to be made, it isn't going to always feel good. It does not feel like a soothing and gentle massage, if it did, it would not be making corrections necessary to achieve some of the most remarkable results available in a neck pain relief product.
