The Air Neck Traction helps sore neck muscles, headaches and discomfort caused by pinched nerves

Our Air Neck Traction is similar to the airmag neck traction without the magnets. It can help with neck related headaches, stiff muscles, compressed discs, arthritis, pinched nerves and discomfort in the arms and hands due to nerve pressure. Get the neck pain relief you need in the comfort of your own home with our easy to use and effective neck traction device.

Air Neck Traction

The Air Neck Traction is available in two models with 3 and 4 layers of gentle traction options for enhanced relaxation range of application. It is lightweight and portable providing a powerful dynamic neck therapy with a wide range of traction. Low and high pressure air chambers provide comfort during traction with inner latex chambers and comfortable fabric covers.

Air Neck Traction Reducing Herniated DiscMay help in relief of neck pain and tension in the shoulders and arms. Can also help to improve restricted neck motion and provides training for improved posture.

Begin using the neck traction at low pressure (low traction force for 5-10 minutes), slowly increasing up to 20 - 25 minutes, 2-3 times daily. After a session of neck traction, release the air slowly to gradually deflate the device. This will prevent sudden reloading of the neck and allow the muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints to assume control slowly and gently with a gradual adaptation. Use the air release time to take a few deep breaths and relax after your traction session.

Poor neck posture results in pain, fatigue and faulty positioning particularly for those who work on a computer or do repetitive tasks for most of the day. As neck muscle fatigue sets in, the shoulders begin to hunch over and become rounded. These poor body mechanics become a habit or pattern when repeated on a dialy basis and we maintain this hunched over position with the leaning forward and down, even as we stand and walk.

Patterns of poor posture over time begin to place pressure on the muscles, ligaments, joints and discs and nerves resulting in pain, tension and sets the stage for degenerative arthritis of the spine. Muscles become tight and joints become stiff with painful and restricted motion.

AirMag Neck Traction Listed Features

The Air Neck Traction can help to remove pressure and begin to train the supporting neck structures for better posture. This effect will tend to remain even after the traction is removed. Remember, this is a process - not a single treatment. Just as it takes time to develop poor posture, it will take time to restore it. Proper neck exercises and a supportive neck pillow are also essential if long term pain relief through corrective means is your goal.

Instructions: Put Air Neck Traction around neck with valve to the left and adjust the inflatable layers for correct shape and position before closing with strap. Use a mirror to help. Fasten the inflation/deflation valve before hand-pumping. Pump until you achieve the right traction angle and right amount of stretch and/or relief according to comfort level or as prescribed by your doctor. Adjust right and left sides separately if needed until comfort and relief are attained. When optimal pressure is reached, close the ball valve. After use, open the ball valve and loosen the deflation valve gradually, letting air out slowly. Do not squeeze the device to force the air out.

Begin gently with minor and medium level of traction at 1-2 times a day, then move on to major traction if comfortable. When you become used to it, the device can be used 2-3 times a day for a maximum of 20-30 minutes each time, but only 1-3 minutes for major traction. Use at your own convenience while watching TV, working on computers, reading, traveling, reclining or relaxing, etc.

Caution: Do not: Sleep with it on, use as a neck brace or with recent acute, or sprain and strain neck injury.

Important: Follow your doctor's directions if prescribed, and relax as much as possible during use. If discomfort occurs during use, deflate the neck traction slowly and adjust angle and pressure until discomfort disappears, then try again. When doing medium or major traction, you may close the low pressure air chamber before pumping is finished so the upper air chamber remains comfortably soft. Major traction should be followed by 30 minutes of minor or medium level traction. If the valve appears to repel air during pumping, use a toothpick to clear the air intake in the bottom of valve. Avoid sharp objects or forceful handling during use. Avoid leaving filled with air while unused, but store with a little air still in to prolong product life.
